hi! i’m laurynn! when i was a kid i use to sit on the bathroom floor and watch my mom do her makeup. when i finally got my hands on this stuff i didn’t want to do anything else, i really found my passion in hair school. being creative and expressive in the many avenues of hair, makeup, theatre, reading and writing have shaped who i am. i strive to provide a safe, comfortable and accepting environment for anyone who is in my chair. i already love every crazy idea you have! fashion colors, skin fades, platinum blonde, extensions, updos and makeup, you name it we’ll do it! when i’m not in the salon, i’m most likely at a concert, listening to music or reading any book i can get my hands on. my lovely kitty nox also requires constant attention and belly rubs. i’ve been nearly fluent in american sign language for over ten years and i’m currently learning spanish and german!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

depending on the client’s hair texture, density and pigmentation can and will change the price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

pictures are a must, as well as a consultation to ensure we achieve exactly what you want or to begin the journey to your perfect style.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

i graduated from paul mitchell the school with honors, on the dean’s list and at the top of my class in 2020, as well as growing my talents as a makeup artist over the last ten years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

growing up i always loved watching my mom do her makeup and as i got older i realized it was all i wanted to do with my life, making other people feel beautiful and powerful.

What types of customers have you worked with?

i’ve worked with all types of people because hair and makeup don’t have any restrictions or limitations.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

the last blonde i did took seven nonstop hours and she absolutely loved it, it was so amazing to have my clients confidence in me. i can’t wait to see her again!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

hair is very important to people, no matter how much or how little you have, so make sure your stylist understands your personality and how you express yourself through your hair and makeup.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

“can i maintain this color and/style with my day to day life?” is always the best question to ask. while many styles can be beautiful they don’t always fit everyone’s needs.
